Works-in-Progress Wednesday (11/30/16)

Posted by A. Lorena Haldeman on

What are you working on this week? I'm getting ready for GLAM on Sunday, and everything that I'm doing this week has some sort of relationship to that. Sunday, I started off the day with making approximately 100 tubes and tins of lip balm. I need to get those labeled – probably won’t happen until I’m done with all soap (of which I made about 20 bars on Sunday, to go with the 20 I made Saturday), unless I bring it all into the house and label it while watching TV and “relaxing” after dinner. I’m hoping to bring the lip balms...

I'd also made some new things, and I'm working on getting those photographed and listed - I'm hoping to be done with that by the end of the...

I didn't have time to write a blog post yesterday, so let's just pretend that today is Wednesday and you can tell me what you're working on! I am all ceramics, all the time this week. Pouring, cleaning, building, firing, painting, glazing, firing... and did I mention firing? As I write this I'm on my fifth firing in... uh, since last Saturday. How many days ago is that? What is today, again? When I'm not too tired from painting and glazing all day, I'm still working on my entrelac wrap. I've passed the halfway mark and am thinking about how...

Five ways to rock your next craft show (or your first craft show)

Posted by A. Lorena Haldeman on

That year alone taught me a lot about doing a craft show, and for me, now the most stressful part about a show is if I get lost trying to find the location if it's in a new spot. Here are five things that help me out and make craft shows easy for me. Bring a friend. The people in the booths next to you,...
