 This one's for Catherine!  Here we have a two-part video on how I wind yarn into skeins after dyeing them. When I get undyed yarn sent to me, it generally comes in a 60" skein. But sometimes, in order to get the repeat I want, I rewind it into 72" skeins (such as Seaworthy, in this video example). But then I want to rewind it back into a smaller skein for a variety of reasons (seeing how the colors interplay, making everything a uniform size  for displays, and so on).  The first video is setting up, and not getting very...

Oodles approved!

Recently a customer bought a set of bowls, and requested a matching plate, for her cat (he was jealous of the set of bowls she and her husband had recently purchased). She sent me an action shot for the blog, and all I can say is... KITTEH! I love it! All matchy-matchy, and Oodles seems quite content with his new dishes. Om nom nom, Oodles!

Action shot - Gnomey

A few months ago I made a rather large gnome (I did this for a friend as a gift, not as a custom order). He's really quite tall, although it's hard to tell in the photo, and it was quite the experience trying to fit other things in the kiln with him at the same time.  Recently she sent me an action shot -- I think he looks fabulous! And just a little creepy, as gnomes are (at least, I think so). Unfortunately some critters who live in my friend's yard are not afraid of him, because everything she's planted...
