This Week in HaldeCraft (ceramics, soap, and yarn)

This week a lot of really fun things came out of the kiln, and also one new lone soap set (a floral sampler of fragrances I don't usually stock, but am considering as permanent items - so feedback is definitely welcome). And since I needed to have an even number of items to make the graphic work, I threw yarn club in there - after all, it's open for about another week! So there's still time to get in!

 This week I have a couple of yarn restocks, and some soap that I'm moving over from my Etsy shop to here (at this point I'm really only putting so much on Etsy, so when things fall off the four-month rotation there, I'm moving it over here). Some of the soap is popular (mmmm, Cucumber Melon) but some I'll be phasing out in that particular design, and those have been added to the Miscellaneous Marked Down soap listing --

 About three months ago, I took a harsh look at my work schedule. I do three main things (ceramics, soaps, and yarns), and with bringing the lip balms and lotions in, I was looking for a better way to do things than a few minutes of ceramics every day, soap on Sunday and Monday, yarn on Tuesday and Wednesday, more soap on Thursday, lip balm and lotion on Friday, and full-on ceramics Saturday. For one thing, if you count that up, that's work every day. Which isn't necessarily the tipping point for change - every artist and writer I know...

NEW BASE YARNS: Delany and Emma

 Introducing two new base yarns; Delany and Emma. People in this round of yarn club are already familiar with Delany, although I did divide up the skeins into “regular” sized for the club…. because Delany is HUGE! An eight-ounce skein coming in at about 500 yards, it’s a worsted weight yarn that gets 4-5 stitches/inch using a US 7-9. Delany is 50-50 alpaca/wool and is NOT a superwash yarn, so will felt (keep that in mind for your project and care instructions). Emma is another double-sized skein (OF AWESOMENESS) and also comes in at about eight ounces, and 620 yards...
