Cherry Bomb nesting dishes
Candies. Cheese in one, crackers in the other. Olives and pickles. Candies. Keys, soap dish, trays on your desk for paperclips and ephemera. What would you put in these lovelies? And if the answer is "nothing, I'd just set them out and gaze at their beauty"... no judgement here. We feel the same.
These dishes are glazed with non-toxic glazes, and can be washed with hot soapy water or even run through the dishwasher in order to be cleaned. Each one is made by hand; slab-rolled, impressed, and hand-cut. While the glaze colors remain the same from firing to firing, the placement of the design beginning and end may change from dish to dish and your set of dishes may be slightly different than photographed. As they are hand-built, each one is a little bit different as far as curves and weight go, but the approximate dimensions are listed below:
Approximate Height: 1.25 inch
Approximate Width: 5.5, and 7 inches
Approximate Length: 7 and 9 inches
Approximate Weight: 8 and 11 ounces
HaldeCraft ceramics begin life as slip-cast, hand-built, or wheel-thrown pieces and then are painted and glazed and put out into the world, all by the hands of one person. I learned ceramics like an old-school apprentice, at the feet of my grandmother who had a studio in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of the pieces I make incorporate now-vintage molds that she bought then. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio with confidence, mindfulness, and joy.
