Continuing with my candle-holder theme, I offer up the one I like the most – the dragonfly. My grandmother, when we were sitting out on the dock fishing, would tell me that dragonflies are good luck. I don’t know how true that is, but I do know that I’ve loved them ever since (as you can probably tell by this, and the many dragonfly soaps I make). So pop a candle in this baby and let some lucky light shine your way!
This piece was made using non-toxic glazes and can be hand-washed with hot soapy water or even run through the dishwasher.
I learned ceramics like an old-school apprentice, at the feet of my grandmother who had a studio in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of the pieces I make are from now-vintage molds that she bought then. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio.
