These mushroom and cherry blossom plaques are perfect for the eclectic decorator, or those looking to add a little 1970s retro-style flair onto their walls. Hang them both on the same wall near each other, or on the opposite sides of a door-frame, bookshelf, or mirror. Anywhere you put them they are sure to turn heads!
I learned ceramics like an old-school apprentice, at the feet of my grandmother who had a studio in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of the pieces I make are from now-vintage molds that she bought then. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio. I'm excited to have recently come into these molds, which while marked with the manufacturer (McNees) is unfortunately not marked with the year made. I have nothing to base this on but I'm guessing from other slipcasting mold research that I've done, that this might be from the 1970s.
