Every once and a while, there's one person in your life who just really goes above and beyond. She puts together care packages for far-flung friends. She sends treats, photos, and - if you're lucky - cuttings from her garden. She makes you want to do good things, for her and for other people. She makes you want to never leave her back porch, where you imagine a fragrance just like this sage and lavender soap blend together in the breeze coming up from her flowers, and together you could breathe in deeply and watch the sun set over the hills.
The base of this soap has a creamy, custard color to it; but some fragrances - especially those containing vanilla - can cause the soap to darken to a tan or even a dark brown. I try to wait until this begins to happen to photograph the soap so that you are aware of what you are getting; however, it does get darker over time so your soap, upon arrival, may be darker than photographed.
A great gift for that yarn lover in your life, if you don't know what kind of yarn to give them (although here's a hint: yarn lovers just flat out love yarn - all yarn!). Many knitters and crocheters keep these bars in their project bags so that their yarn smells extraordinary.
