Works-in-Progress Wednesday (11/04/15)

What are you working on this week? For me, it's one of those exciting weeks where there are a lot of things in progress but are so almost finished that you can practically taste it.

In ceramics, I'm mere minutes away from going over to the studio and opening the kiln from yesterday's bisque firing, which is full of new yarn bowls! As fast as I can glaze them, I'll be restocking the Vivi bowls, and adding Marie and Grace bowls as well. Additionally, I put the last coat of paint on my friend's dishes (years to think about, mere hours to actually make, sigh) and I'll be glazing those and firing them soon as well. I can't wait to see her face when she sees them.

In soap, the response to my little samples of the upcoming new fragrance, Brown Sugar & Spice, has been fantastic! I still have about 12 left, so if you're one of those 12 people who order something to be shipped in November, you'll be getting a soap sample in your package! Also, a few fragrances are being discontinued, and those have been moved over to the Marked-Down listing.

In yarn, Yolen is now listed and in the shop (with the exception of two that had, er, winding issues... those will be stocked the next time I dye yarn, which is next week). I'll also be having a big yarn sale starting Sunday, and you will not want to miss that! Newsletter and Ravelry people will see it first, but I'll be sure to post on Facebook and G+ soon after that.

Also, yarn club is back, baby! Swag spots are selling fast, but there are still a few in both sock and worsted weight (and an unlimited number of spots available in both, without swag). Club signups will be open until the end of December!

Lastly, I'm working hard on my studio office this week. That Poor Man and Our Good Friend Jenn put the flooring down in the office the other weekend, and that means that my desk could finally be moved from the old house. I have half of it set up as my shipping station, now (I used to have to use that half for glazing, and I do like it a lot better for shipping, now that I have a dedicated glaze spot!). Soon we'll run Internet out there and I'll be able to bring my computer over to the studio. Then, with that, a working bathroom, a fridge, a coffee pot, and a couch that folds out into a bed... That Poor Man may have to come check on me every few days least I turn feral.

That's about it for me right now... what about y'all? What are you working on this week? What are your plans?
