We offer products/services for sale on this site using Shopify. To avoid learning your credit card information, we’ve partnered with Shopify/Stripe, Amazon Payments, and PayPal to securely process payment. As such, we never learn or store your credit card information. They share your name, shipping and billing address, email, and if given, phone number (you also have the option to store and change that information on Shopify's secure servers by starting an account on haldecraft.com, which also gives you access to your previous order history). If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please see my return and refund policy below. For payment terms, please see below.
This site allows users to comment on blog posts and leave reviews of purchased items. While I welcome honest reviews and blog comments, personal insults towards anyone, hate speech, and trolling will be deleted.
This site contains intellectual property owned by Lorena Haldeman, including trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property. However, we want you to share our content. Sharing to social media outlets (especially to Instagram and Ravelry) is welcomed as long as the original page or post is linked back to and/or credit is given.

This site collects information on you in two ways:
1. The information that you manually provide us by making a purchase, signing up for the newsletter, leaving a comment, or using the contact form. This information can be tied directly to you because of the information you’ve provided.
2. The information that’s automatically collected via our third-party partners, including but not limited to Google Analytics and Shopify. The types of information collected here include things like browser types, pages visited, length of visits, key word searches, and locations. Generally, our third-party partners only give us this information in the aggregate (e.g. it’s not identifiable to you) but sometimes this information can be directly tied to you if you make a purchase (for example, information about the page you originally landed on and the website referred from, if any).
The information collected is used only for statistical analysis of landing pages and popularity of pages, and is only shared with others if required by our terms of service or agreements with third party partners, or if legally required by law.

HOW TO PAY: We accept all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover, through Shopify Payments, which is powered by Stripe), Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal (you can pay via PayPal even if you don't have an account with them; please contact me before buying if you have any questions). I also accept cash and credit cards (via Square) for local orders that can be paid in person.
PAYMENT REFUNDS: Any refunds are given in the same method in which they were originally received; for example, if you paid via PayPal (even using a credit card through them without an account) you will be refunded via PayPal. Refunds will not be given prior to the return of any product. Any exorbitant delays in returning purchases to me may result in fees assessed by PayPal when I refund the purchase price (for example, items not returned within the 60-day PayPal window); I am not responsible for those fees.
ARE YOU LOCAL? If you are local to Keystone Heights, Florida, cash or credit card payments can be arranged. Feel free to contact me prior to purchase to pre-arrange a time and location convenient to both of us; otherwise I will contact you within a few hours of your purchase to talk about pick-up/delivery options.
WHEN TO PAY: Payment is expected within 48 hour of making a purchase unless prior arrangements are made. If payment is not received in 48 hours the sale will be canceled and the item will be relisted.
FL residents must pay 6% sales tax, plus any specific county taxes.
Every custom order is different and I am happy to discuss time frames, customization, shipping, and other details via email. I will keep you as informed as you would like to be during the process of making your item, and will provide detailed photographs of your item prior to purchase.
DOWN PAYMENT ON CUSTOM ORDERS: Custom orders that will have a purchase price of more than $100 now require a non-refundable 25% deposit prior to my beginning work on your item(s), with the remaining 75% due at completion of work.
- If I am unable to complete your order for any reason, your deposit will be refunded.
- Unless we have come to a mutual agreement early in the custom order process, your 25% deposit is non-refundable.
Please contact me within seven days of receiving your item if you have any concerns. I want you to be as happy shopping with me as I am to be selling to you. Not all situations are created equal and while I do need to have some ground rules, I try to be flexible and reasonable with other flexible and reasonable people.
If you are dissatisfied for any reason, you can return the unused item for a full refund within 7 days of receiving it. I will refund the original purchase price and original shipping cost once I receive the item back (buyer is responsible for return shipping).
Returned items must be received before I will initiate a refund; refunds will be given in the method via which they were received (PayPal refunds for PayPal purchases, etc.).
Used soap is non-returnable. If you are dissatisfied with your product please contact me with details so that we can discuss alternatives including refunds or replacement bars.
Returned yarn must still be in original skein, unused, and not re-wound into a ball.

I try to over-protect my ceramics during packaging as much as possible, but accidents - especially when shipping long distance - do happen. While I can't control what happens during transit, as I said above, I want you to be as happy shopping with me as I am to be selling to you. I am completely willing to work with you on ceramics damaged during shipping; I do, however, require proof that the item is damaged, and that item must be returned to me. Mail it back to me, or provide me with a photograph of the shattered item,and I will replace it (or give you a full refund should item no longer be desired).
I ship Monday through Friday, unless there is a postal holiday. Purchases made after noon ship the next business day; purchases made after noon on Fridays will ship on Mondays.

Should I be unable to ship for any reason other than a postal holiday (such as vacation, illness, etc), I will notify you by posting a notice at the top of every page on haldecraft.com, and contact you within 24 hours of your purchase to make sure this is understood and is not a hardship.
I ship as carefully and as cost-effectively that I can; I primarily ship USPS First Class, Parcel Post, or Priority Mail Flat Rate to get you the best price. If you need express mailing, or mailing using some other delivery service, please contact me before purchasing so that I can weigh your purchase and get you the best price.
International customers are responsible for all import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. These fees and taxes and any additional charges for customs clearance are levied once a shipment reaches your country, and must be borne by the recipient. I have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Please be aware that when customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond any original delivery estimates. All international orders will have full value declared on customs forms, and will be marked as "merchandise" - no exceptions.
I ship to the address given to me during the sale; please make sure your address is correct. There are no refunds for incorrect addresses given.
I try to be as reasonable as possible with shipping charges - if it costs more than you've been charged, there is no extra charge for you; and I will refund any difference of $2 or more if it is in your favor.
Shipping for gifts - if you would like me to ship a gift to someone else, we can definitely make arrangements (also for giftwrap/enclosure).
