Don’t forget, a little of this lotion goes a long way! It is luxurious and thick (and beloved by many).
Advice from a Caterpillar: inspired by a scene in the beloved book, Alice in Wonderland… “You’ll get used to it in time,” said the Caterpillar; and it put the hookah into its mouth and began smoking again. Grassy and herbal, yet not smoky, this fragrance is exactly what you’d expect from someone who sits upon a mushroom thinking deep thoughts and dispensing obscure wisdom.
Blood of the Dragon: If you like alluring, mysterious, difficult to describe fragrances, you can thank the members of Yarn Club. Warming notes of amber, Madagascar vanilla and patchouli, with layers of floral notes such as rose, jasmine and lilac on top of that; this sensual fragrance is topped off with the light touches of blood orange and grapefruit. No one thing stands out more than any other, and you’d be hard-pressed to call this just an earthy, or just a floral, or just a fruity fragrance. Imagine a night market full of spices and foods, with the underlying smell of sandy breezes… and that’s what you’ve got here.
Frankincense & Myrrh: The perennial Fall favorite, most-asked for by knitters and crocheters so that the yarn they’re working with will later smell like the lotion they put on their hands! Musky, a little woodsy; if golden amber desert sunsets had a fragrance, this would be it.
In the Wild: First you have your fruit (Mandarin Orange, pear blossom, red currant). Then you have a little bit of a floral hint (wild honeysuckle, night blooming jasmine, and magnolia blossoms). Top that off with a little earthy/musky (patchouli, tonka beans, and wild musk). Mix it all together and you have something almost indescribably heady. This is a very strong scent, so be warned! This is not for those who like subtle fragrances.
Midnight Garden: If you admit to not being extremely fond of floral fragrances in bath products; if you love the smell of actual flowers, but feel that somehow soaps and lotions never seem to smell the same… you will be over the moon about Midnight Garden! It has just enough earthy/woodsy to keep you happy, with the oakmoss and musk, but it also has subtle lavender, lily, rose, and violet. Somehow that all combines together and will make your nose delightfully happy!
Mountain Man: Gentle and fierce, protective and courageous, curious and strong; all of these things give you a hint about what this fragrance contains. This is a great scent for men! It has amber, sage, red cedar, oak, orange, and sycamore, with just a hint of wild tobacco, leather, and patchouli. But if you are a woman who loves the woodsy, earthy fragrances, don’t let the name of the fragrance turn you away!
Oakmoss Sandalwood: Oakmoss Sandalwood is a surprisingly light scent for something with Sandalwood. Sandalwood, oakmoss, patchouli, and amber. If you like earthy, vaguely woodsy, amber-based fragrances, give this one a try! It’s a much lighter fragrance than you might expect.
Osmanthus: Osmanthus is a plant primarily native to Eastern Asia, although a few species do also grow in the southernmost regions of North America. It produces a small, white flower and is related to the olive tree; in some places it is also called Sweet Olive, or Fragrant Tea Olive. It smells so divine! It’s a little herbal, herbaceous without being overly woodsy, and lightly floral.
Rosemary Mint: Destined to become your favorite need-a-pick-me-up fragrance, this is an eye-opening mix of rosemary, spearmint, eucalyptus, and peppermint. Minty fresh and refreshing!
Sage & Lemongrass: One sniff and you will want to know where this fragrance has been all your life. It’s light, fresh, green, and both relaxing and a little energizing at the same time. A great pick-me-up fragrance!
Trickster Fox: Looking for a good, solid masculine scent that doesn’t have anything floral in it? Start with some fresh mountain air that blew in from the grassy prairie, add some just-cut wood, and sprinkle in a dash of musk… and you’ve got this amazing fragrance. Traditionally, the Trickster Fox is a character who has great intelligence and a love for breaking the rules, and is usually the hero of his own story… If that sounds like you, give this fragrance a shot!
Wild Mint & Ivy: If you like Sweetgrass, or Sage & Lemongrass, you’re going to love this one! It has base notes of patchouli and moss, is balanced with a bit of citrus and lavender, but all you really smell is the green, green notes of ivy, spearmint, peppermint, and everything fresh and green. Is green a fragrance? If you’ve ever stood in the middle of a grassy prairie and breathed in deeply, you know that green smell of grasses. Add a bit of mint to that and you’ve got Wild Mint & Ivy!
Wood Sage & Sea Salt: Imagine walking down a Maine beach just when the weather has begun to turn its back on summer, and the cool undertones of Autumn are in the salty breeze. A rocky shore. The crash of waves. Farther up the shore, a stand of short gray trees huddles to the ground, bent and hiding from the wind. The smell of sage and salt are in the air.
