It’s Wednesday again! And again, there is both a whole lot and absolutely nothing going on at HaldeCraft this week.
In ceramics, I’m working on custom orders, I’m working on a big decal item update, and I’m working on a couple of hair-brained ideas I couldn’t stop myself from starting.
In soap, next week I should be able to start making restocks! Hurray! I know I have some goat’s milk soap that needs to be replaced, and a couple of oatmeal ones as well. I can’t wait to start working on them, that will feel so… back to normal. Back to routine.
In yarn, after I make soap, I’ll dye yarn - starting with the March Patreon colorway, and then working on some restocks.
In Seasonal Collections, uh… so, last Wednesday, according to my Giant Wall Calendar, was supposed to be the Under the Sea update. Obviously that didn’t happen. I’ve had my hands so full with custom work recently I just couldn’t justify the time to work on some Under the Sea things. I know that I want to make a yarn bowl this time around, and even though I did a set of nesting dishes, I have an idea for a new set of templates, and if it turns out the way I think it will, it might mean another, differently-shaped set of nesting dishes. Am I obsessed with nesting dishes right now? ….. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe. That and hanging planters. Oooooo, which gives me an idea….!
In Patreon, things are at that mid-month treading along; I’m in between chapters, I need to mail some things out, but I’ve gotten a couple of planned blog posts up and even relatively on time! Hanks posts are still on the back burner, but … like I said above, I’ve had a lot of custom work lately (for which I thank you!). Custom work trumps blog posts!
In knitting, that big afghan is in time out for a few while I get to the heel turn on a pair of socks in the February Patreon yarn colorway.
In the HaldeCult, I know I say this almost every week, but… I love the community that is springing up over there on Facebook. I know Facebook isn’t for everyone, but we’ve carved out a really safe, welcoming space over there and it just makes my heart so happy.
