Long day, and I'm finally getting around to telling you what I've been working on this week! A lot of errands, that's for sure. And spending time with friends, which has been great. I've been more casually social in about the last week than I have been in a while, and it's been good for me. Good to see friends I haven't spent time with in a while!
But anyway, let's talk about work!
In ceramics, I've got some pie plates going on this week (about half of which, hopefully, will also become pi plates). I'm also wrestling with some casserole dishes, and while this first batch has gotten the best of me I definitely plan to get right back on that horse.
Uh... ceramics really is most of my work this week - the stuff I'm playing with takes up a lot of time. And I'm also working behind the scenes on some sample house number plaques so that I can make a listing for that soon.
Earlier this week about a dozen different friends tagged me on the same day in Facebook, either tagging me in the post or posting it on my page, but our local amazing resale shop had a dollhouse they were going to be selling when they opened on Tuesday.... But wouldn't you know it, Tuesday was the one day this week I didn't have plans to go into Gainesville, and I really needed the majority of the day for work. So I was afraid I'd have to pass on it. But! A friend of mine who was off work this week went and grabbed it for me right at opening on Tuesday. Y'all. MY FRIENDS. I am constantly humbled by their generosity with their time. I had errands in town today so swung by her house and picked it up, where she also gave me oodles of greens straight from her garden, and a bunch of strawberries! I am spoiled, truly.
Oh my goodness, y'all, I've been trying to write this for about three hours - I kept getting called away from my computer and then I forget I'm trying to write this. I guess that's what I get for having needy (but sweet) cats and dogs, eh?
So what else... I'm playing around with my laser engraver/cutter. I'm cleaning up the studio. I'm trying to get ready for taxes and EOY accounting stuff. I'm working on plotting out the new yarn colorways I want to bring in later this year.
And I'm planning my vacations! Ireland in April. Scotland in August. England in November. (Sorry, Wales, maybe next time.) I think I've mentioned this before; I just want to make sure to prep everyone for the brief but multiple times I won't be able to send stuff out at times this year.
I think that's about it for me this week. How about y'all? What are you working on? What are you up to?
