Works-in-Progress Wednesday (01/03/18)

What are y'all working on this week? I'm fighting off a cold so that That Poor Man and I can go out to eat tonight to celebrate his birthday, and oh yeah I have a few things going on at work!

In ceramics, I've restocked some things and have a large pile of other things (metaphorically; they're not literally IN A PILE, ceramics are hard to pile) that need to have photos taken and listings written to get them up online. Almost every flat space in the studio is covered right now, between finished stuff piled up that needs photos and unfinished stuff piled up that needs glazing and firing. Oh, also! Next week I'll release the new January mug for this year, and hopefully the week after that I'll have some of those tentacle mugs back in stock. Cool things coming!

In soap, I've got about fifty or so bars of soap that need to be wrapped, and then restocked. And I'm so excited about the Year in Soap! Most people in it this year have been in it multiple times, and I'm going to be doing some really amazing new fragrances for them. I already can't wait to get feedback on them, and I haven't even started making them yet. I'm just a little excited!

In yarn, my brain is buzzing with colorway ideas. I'm dyeing the January club yarn, I'm getting ready to do a couple of custom orders and restocks, then I have an older club colorway I'm going to be bringing in as a regular color, then February and March club yarns to dye, and then I'm finally going to dye those sock blanks! Whew! The crock pots are working overtime this week and it's so cold out for once I'm glad of the heat they give off in the studio.

In other things.... hm, what else is going on? I have about ten unfinished knitting projects laying around, but that's not stopping me from maybe casting on one more in the next day or two. What I'd like to do is round up all my UFOs and get them all photographed, make sure they have project pages on Ravelry.... but I've been knitting so little lately I'm not even sure I can easily put my hands on everything I have floating around unfinished. I'm planning the next HaldeCrafts & Drafts, my semi-quarterly Open House - next one is Saturday, January 20th, and the guest artists will be blacksmith Leslie Tharp.

That's about it for me this week... what about y'all? What are you working on?
