Mostly this week I'm working on not melting into a puddle of goo... every day this week the temp has read "93, but feels like 104". I wish Mother Earth could get her fever down!
Meanwhile, I'm also dyeing yarn and making ceramics (and nobody was surprised).
In ceramics, I'm finishing up glazing some things so I can fire the kiln (I'm shooting for tomorrow but it may be Friday). I want to get the last teapot finished, so I can list all four at once... and I have three new mug styles I can't wait to release. About these new mug styles... in the past, I've done repeatable glaze colors; as in, I glaze everything the same color (or colors) each time I make it. So if you buy a pink one, and your cousin tries to steal it, you can buy the same color as a gift. I'm not so sure I'm going to do the same thing with these new mugs -- I'm probably just going to use whatever glaze color I feel like using at the time. So just because I'm doing them one way this first time, doesn't necessarily mean that when I do them again, they'll look the same. Just a heads-up in case you see something you absolutely love!
In soap, all I'm doing is waiting to have enough time to finish photographing and writing the listing for my new soap, inspired by an amazing customer -- SueAnn's Garden. While I've gotten to know and adore the majority of my regulars, if you've chatted with SueAnn for even a minute on Facebook or Ravelry you know what a good soul she is. She's been sick lately (getting better) and the only way I know how to let people know they've really touched me is to Make Things... and as she once sent me cuttings of sage and lavender from her garden, I wanted to reciprocate with a soap that reflected how amazing that package smelled. I should have time to list the soap by the end of next week, so stay tuned for it!
In yarn, I'm mailing out June's yarn club this week (domestic; International went out last week) and I'm starting to get an idea of what I want to do with the next round of club. Spots open for that in a couple of weeks! It's hard to believe it's almost time to open up another round of club, it seems like I just did that! Time flies, eh?
I'm also working on some Changes restocks -- I'll have Andre, Joy, and Yolen restocked by Friday. And did I mention my upcoming limited edition colorway? Two words: Cranberry Butter (two more words: stay tuned!). Unlike the last two limited edition colorways, I won't be taking preorders on this one. What I dye soon is what will be there, and there will be pretty limited numbers this time.
In knitting, I'm almost done with a pair of socks I started while on vacation, and I also (re)started the temperature side of the pillow I mentioned last week. I'm much happier with using two strands of different-colored sock yarn than one single of DK weight. Expect photos when I get that finished!
That's it for me... what about y'all? What are you working on this week? What's being crossed off your to-do lists?
