I've been dyeing yarn since Monday (with the heat we've been having it's drying quickly, as I hang it up on the back porch where it can drip to its heart's content) and if you look closely in the bottom right of the picture, you can see the top of the kiln. I'm firing it today, and right now it's at 1856 degrees with about 200 more to go. I won't be opening THAT quickly, that's for sure.
