Hollow Ancient Eyes

The old man on the corner, sign in hand. The bundled old woman in the cold, no longer even caring that people walk past her. Times are hard. You shrug, you walk past, deliberately not seeing. Even people in your own life that you never have time to call, never have time to really talk with, never have time to visit. What would you see if you made eye contact with those hollow, ancient, cataract-ridden, lonely eyes? What gift would you be giving someone to just say hello, to hear them? To hold space for them for even just a moment? How less lonely would they feel? Would you feel?

HaldeCraft HandDyed yarns started life in 2007 in a small yarn store in Gainesville, Florida (Hanks Yarn and Fiber) and was then called "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye". It has continued online as HaldeCraft HandDyed since 2011, and is hand-dyed and lovingly re-skeined in a small home studio by someone who loves the fiber arts just as much as you do. All of my yarns are hand-dyed singly or in batches of two. If you would like to order for a large project, please contact me and I will be more than happy to dye your order with every attempt to get each skein as matching as possible. However, as with all hand-dyes (not just my own) I recommend working from alternating balls on larger projects as even yarns dyed at the same time may not be perfectly matched.

This yarn was dyed in a smoke-free, but not pet-free studio; however, once dyed it is kept sealed in bags inside bins which studio tortoises do not have access to.
