Works-in-Progress Wednesday (09/27/17)

Posted by A. Lorena Haldeman on

Whoa. Wednesday. I almost feel like this should be a "Why I Haven't Been Blogging Wednesday" or "What Happened to September Wednesday" ... but maybe I'll wrap the post up with some "What's Been Going On". First, though, what I've been working on! In ceramics I am ashamed to say there is not much. Oh, well, there's a lot, but so much I don't feel I'm making progress on anything. I just bought a TON of new bisque to glaze up and put some holiday/limited edition things in the shop for the Fall and Winter, so expect those to start...

Works-in-Progress Wednesday (08/16/17)

What are you working on this week? I'm feeling more excited and motivated by ideas than I have in a while -- whether that's because summer is almost over, or I'm gearing up for some craft shows, or I'm just feeling a sudden creative and motivational spark, I'm not sure... but I'm loving whatever it is! What are y'all working on this week? Towards the end of last week I did what's called a Rapid Log in my bullet journal, taking a page (OK; maybe two) and writing down everything I needed to remember to do that wasn't already written down in my journal, and things that were half-finished when I switched notebooks at the end of last month, and things that were just occurring to me that needed to be written down to do later that I didn't want to forget. Then I started picking things off that list and doing them. Those things are...

June 2017 Yarn Club: Orange Cat

Posted by A. Lorena Haldeman on

About a month ago I mailed out the June yarn club yarn, and now I can talk about it! (So of course I start with a black-and-white teaser photo, hahaha.) The theme this time around is inspired by beloved pets, and this month is inspired by orange cats. Orange cats are either 100% stand-offish, or 100% loyal and loving. There is no half-way with an orange cat! If you chose sock weight, the yarn is Kathleen; a 75% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon/5% gold-toned Stellina yarn that gets 6-8 stitches per inch on a US 0-2 and comes in 438-yard, 100-gram put-ups....
