The perfect size for a salad plate, this square cutie could hold a small salad, a sandwich and some chips, or even work as a plate for serving cookies. It could also be used as a catch-all for keys and change, or for paperclips and ephemera around a desk. Slab-rolled and impressed with a textured rolling pin, these pieces are then trimmed, cut, and shaped into beautiful one-of-a-kind plates - each one is subtly different, as they are made by hand.

These dishes are glazed with non-toxic glazes, and can be washed with hot soapy water or even run through the dishwasher in order to be cleaned. Each one is made by hand, slab-rolled, impressed, and hand-cut; while the glaze colors remain the same from firing to firing, the placement of the design may change from dish to dish and your dish may be slightly different than photographed. As they are hand-built, each one is a little bit different as far as height and weight go, but the approximate dimensions are listed below:

Approximate Height: 1 inch
Approximate Size: 7.5x7.5 inches
Approximate Weight: 12 ounces

HaldeCraft began with ceramics, soap, and yarn. I've been making ceramics since I was four years old, learning at the feet of my grandmother who had a home studio in the 50s and 60s. Currently I make slip-cast, hand-built, or wheel-thrown pieces (or a combination of all three) and then are painted and glazed and put through multiple kiln firings before being put out into the world. The yarn started life in 2007 in a small yarn store in Gainesville, Florida (Hanks Yarn and Fiber) and was then called "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye". It has continued online as HaldeCraft HandDyed since 2011, and is hand-dyed and lovingly re-skeined in a small home studio by someone who loves the fiber arts just as much as you do. Making soap was a hobby that I had for years, and I started making soap for the yarn store, and continued when starting HaldeCraft. Lately I've picked up laser engraving, taking my craft to a whole new level. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio with confidence, mindfulness, and joy. Everything at HaldeCraft is created by hand, by me, in order to joyfully connect with you!
