Need to catch up? Days 1-5; days 6-10; days 11-15; days 16-20; days 21-25. March Meet the Maker Day 26: Books, Blogs, and Podcasts. Yes, please! Except I know I'm going to leave something out - I hate doing lists like this on the fly. I always think of six more things I should have said after I hit "post". Books? Anything by Sheri Tepper; Jane Yolen; Ursula LeGuin; Charles DeLint; Roger Zelazny; Tana French; Jonathan Carroll; Elizabeth Moon; or those Haldeman boys. Blogs? Well, there's mine, of course, but also I, Asshole; Book View Cafe; Myth & Moor; and Wave Without a Shore....

Need to catch up? Days 1-5; days 6-10; days 11-15; days 16-20. March Meet the Maker Day 22: Sketchbook & Lists. Well, I don't sketch, really, but I have lists out the wazoo. And I just so happen to be pouring over previous planners right now looking for some information I hid from myself, so here's a shot of what my lists look like. I mean, sometimes I do get actual real help, from friends who will come over sometimes when I'm swamped, to wind yarn or glaze simple ceramics for me. But most of the time this is the kind of help I get. My "staff" consists of two house...

Continued from here....! March Meet the Maker Day 6: Workspace. Here's the inside of my studio; to the left of the frame there's a long shelf that holds more molds, drying greenware, and bisque waiting to be painted. Then I have three wheels (two Brents and a Pacifica), a pouring table, a rolling table with my slab roller, a table with glazes, a rolling table for glazing, a rolling table for wet work (slab building, putting handles on mugs, etc), a rolling table for clean work (wrapping soap, making stitch markers), and along the back there's my yarn winding equipment,...

I missed it last year, but am 1003% on board for this year! Let's do March Meet the Maker! Weeks ago, I had every intention of doing @joannehawker's March Meet the Maker; I had so much fun doing it two years ago, missed out last year because of all that kidney stuff, and was really looking forward to this year... and then This Last Week happened. But things are looking better for all the people in my life I've been caring for, so here we go! Time for selfish me-time! Hey, hi! I'm Lorena, I'm a Maker. Primarily ceramics (my...
